Research Unit at Jackson Memorial Hospital

The University of Miami Infectious Disease Research Unit at Jackson Memorial Hospital opened in December 2015 and serves to connect patients with nationally recognized University of Miami researchers in the field of infectious diseases and HIV/AIDS medicine.

The Jackson facility complements the adjacent University of Miami AIDS Clinical Research Unit – a longtime center providing access to clinical trials, testing and other patient care services for people living with HIV.

The Research Unit, located on the first floor of ACC East, helps to increase patient-based research studies and industry-sponsored trials, which will ultimately advance the understanding, prevention and treatment of HIV infection and AIDS associated malignancies.
